Not happy at all. From 25GB old hotmail account straight to 5GB. 15GB accounts also get 5GB. No more camera roll bonus and 100GB/200GB options have been removed.

Glad I never moved stuff to it now. Pay for 1TB with google and dropbox, that's enough for me.

75Tb users are smoke screen.

I am a 365 subscriber so its a big drop from current 12TB to 1TB and not cool. One terabyte is still a lot but I will be reconsidering my options. Kinda feel the original offer of unlimited was an insincere bait exercise.I wonder what other cuts they have in mind.

I am sick of these SaaS providers changing the goal posts to restrict services. You invest a lot of time into a particular system. So does this mean they made an error in the  offering originally, or were they planning on first getting people hooked, and then raising the cost/decreasing the diskspace, so people would have to pay more in the future. Glad I never got really into the onedrive thing, I use it a bit, but wasn't heavily invested. But there is no real justification for the 15GB to drop to 5GB. 

I have had other SaaS providers recently who have done similar changes, all as a way to make more money off you. So I am wary of any SaaS provider, as some don't run sustainable business models to begin with, they try to get a big user base, and then change the plans, as they hope that people are too fully invested to bother moving, for the price they will have to pay.

Makes me wonder though how long ISPs in NZ will continue to offer unlimited plans, because they could use the same types of arguments to reduce plans, as really there is no such thing as 'unlimited'.

I am sorry but if you didn't see this coming you have had your eyes closed. If you think "cloud" services are for YOUR benefit, you are dreaming. Get used to price increases, service reductions and other value lowering propositions over time. It's new product and service 101. Get everyone on cheap, or free, make them dependant, then slowly increase the fees

Couldn't agree more. I initially always wondered , how can a company afford to give away all that data free or so cheaply. Well it is because they can't, it is all about getting you hooked first, and then they charge existing customers for all that they can sustain. The moral I think is to never rely on a SaaS provider, always have a backup plan in place for easy quick migration to another provider. SaaS providers are a business, so I don't blame them for putting up prices, that is just business.

We have had a customer who against our advice switched everything to the cloud (as opposed to hybrid etc). In the past 18 months they have seen their pricing increase 30%. I expect they are only half way to the target the cloud provider is looking to hit.

I wonder how removing the 100GB and 200GB will solve the problem? If they are worried about people using 75TB on unlimited, why remove bundles from paid users?

I use both free Drive and Onedrive for personal files. I keep both replicated, first for back up, second for keeping my options open between shifting service providers. I'm Google-deep at present, but the advantage of Onedrive matching Drive in 15GB of free storage was that I was keeping a close eye on evolution of Windows 10 pc/phone as a possible option to jump over to MS at some future point.

I currently use 8GB, so the 5GB aint going to cut it for me. Looks like MS have just maneuvered themselves out of future contention. Pity.

I'm just a poor relation to you people, who clearly doesn't store nearly enough.  My 1.035 TB (O365 plus some other bits) seems vast to me (I have only about 50 GB used), and I remain very happy indeed with OneDrive's allocation, and the way it works seamlessly with my W10 system and software, and with my other systems.  Stop griping, pay for your lunch!
