lapimate:
linw: ... Net view gives the error 1231. Same with you?
Didn't try net view - at first I was pursuing (red herring) Master Browser issues (nbtstat ...), but I have read that error has occurred for others.

I'm not so sure the Master Browser research is a dead end.

From my testing it looks like the computer that is the master browser can see the shares but the others can't get the shares from the master browser.

In the event log/system on the problem comp I see a warning  source BROWSER ID 8021 "The browser service was unable to retrieve a list of servers from the browser master \\pcname on the network\Device\NetBT_Tcpip_(...........).

Next there is a browser Information entry BROWSER id8032 saying "The browser service has failed to retrieve the backup list too many times on transport \Device\NetBT_Tcpip_(...........). The backup browser is stopping.

Can you please check to see if you are getting these?

Turned SMB3 on (instead of SMB1), on Synology DiskStation. Then could see only "this" PC under Network and no others. No relevant entries in event log/system around that time.

yes its on Windows Update, but its staggered so not everyone can "see" it immediately

You can always use the Media Creation Tool to download the ISO and install it that way

Have not yet received on my W10 machine, not that I am in any rush.

What I do want is to be able to grab the update so I can update my W10 Enterprise deployment image, as the update has not hit the company WSUS server yet either
However, I am probably missing a few parts of the overall puzzle as deployment is very new to me.

Enterprise ISOs have been available for 2 weeks now

currently Enterprise does not do OS upgrades thru WSUS

Thanks Nathan
It was about 2 weeks since I last looked on the VLSC portal for the new ISO.
Have just taken a look again and can now see the two options - original and November update.

I am having an issue with the November Update (1511) regarding roaming profiles in a domain environment.

When a domain user logs on for the first time, the profile is set up on the server correctly (with profile.V5) and everything is fine.

After the user has logged off and then logs back in again, Edge crashes everytime on startup. Also, a lot of SearchUI.exe errors occur in the Event Logs.

It appears that I am not alone - http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-performance/win-10-1511-post-upgrade-issues-start-cortana-edge/7d2af4ef-3dda-4261-8b41-471eb343094b

Is anyone else experiencing this? This is a pretty major issue, especially with enterprise customers who Microsoft are trying to target!

I have had to stop the migration to Windows 10 1511 because of this showstopper.

Just put this on the little atom $100 PC in the kitchen and it replaced the wifi driver with a broken one. Now that was a fun one to replace back again.

Its a broadcom SDIO 802.11ABGN device, same as used in lots of tablets. Result was it connected and disconnected within a few seconds. Put the same 8.1 driver I found from HP back on it and all is good again.
