I've plugged my iphone to my PC, and it shows up as a wired connection in the tray.

How on earth do I set this 'wired' connection to be a metered connection?  I've googled, researched, but the only thing i can find is how to set wifi networks to metered.

Help?? ?

Thanks in advance.

(why on earth can i not right click on the connection and have the option to set this? )

Based on what I can find you are only able to set a wi-fi connection to metered in Windows 10. Seems stupid but there it is.

nathan: tether to your iPhone over wifi?

I wanted my phone connected to keep it charging.

I'm now back on my home network I'll do some research to see how this can be done . It does not seem possible after a bit of googling.

I guess microsoft either forgot/ran out of time to get win10 out the door/or assumed wired connections are never metered because theirs aren't .

I think you can charge and WiFi tether at sane time
