Looks like M.2 below the fan.

Chorus has spent $1.4 billion on making their xDSL broadband network faster. If your still stuck on ADSL or VDSL, why not spend from $150 on a master filter install to make sure you are getting the most out of your connection?

but weather the NIC is in there or not is another story :)

sounds like it has a M2 slot though so it should just be a case of buying one and putting it in

Had a few interesting coincidences over the last 2 days,

About after an hour the NIC disables itself and you cant re enable it via Device Manager or anywhere.
Only fix is shutting the PC down, But when i shut it down it will hang with a black screen and fan running for hours. Manually required to press the button for 5 seconds to turn off..

Switch it back on and its fine.

Now my sister has an asus laptop but older and different spec and it does the same thing. Only started to happen the last 3 nights...

TimA: Hoping that this isnt the inside of mine.   Could be a mission of a teardown, Do i see a M.2 drive there? or is that the wireless NIC?

Wireless NIC is on the top left, M.2 on the right.

Try switching off hardware power saving on the Wireless NIC in Device Manager. There should be about 3+- different power saving settings you can disable.
