My partners power adapter cable(USB side of the adapter) for her Surface Pro 2 broke, if broke is the right word. The cord split just past the sheath part leaving her unable to charge the tablet. Is there a cheap place to buy them from? Does Microsoft still sell them as I can't see them on the site. I see PBTech has them, but at $103 seems a bit steep really. Or does anyone have a spare one sitting around that they want to sell cheap?  Are you able to provide any assistance? @Nathan

$100-ish seems about normal for pretty much any OEM power pack. You can get one landed for about NZ$60 ex Amazon via YouShop. Or a 3rd party one for even less;

If you're just wanting to get it up and running in the meantime you could try bodging the connector onto any old 12V >3.5A power adaptor you can find like so:
