Hadn't been able to get the Network icon under File explorer to show other computers at home for ages, so I finally got Homegroup too work about a week ago so I could transfer files between them. Guess what this update removes ?

@DjShadow:

* When I first ran windows update it seemed to think I had group policy restrictions in place (this isn't a work laptop), yet after a reboot and tried it again the warning went away

Not sure why but I always restart once more after the first restart following an update...

Oblivian:

Mon 8 = "patch tuesday"

Nope. Patch Tuesday for NZ is the Wednesday after the second Tuesday of the month. This month it's on the 9th.

I was also crabby they tried hard to make Edge a thing again by including an unwanted link on the desktop.

But what annoyed me more was the addition of Minecraft and some other lame game I can't even recall.

Thankfully both were able to be uninstalled, but why are they installed in the first place?

Otherwise I'm working as I normally am.

freitasm: This is being released Monday 30 April.

Both desktop computers updated today, about 35 minutes each, via Windows Update.

Also created a backup USB stick using the Media Creation tool. Still deciding if I need to create a DVD backup.

No problems updating, or with the computers.

3 machines and 2VM's. Aside from the time it took... i guess the update servers are getting spanked.... no issues and noticed no real changes...

I wish the update would install, rather than freeze my computer I need to power it off then on. Getting really sick of it.

Took an hour - including:

- Doing the update itself.

- Once again, re-ordered my audio devices, so had to reconfigure several programs!

- Wireless Logitec keyboard NO longer worked!

- Rebooted again.

- Keyboard (With new batteries) still didn't work.

- Reverted keyboard driver - NOW works.

- Now I can finish sorting my audio devices for the manually edited ones!

Did a clean install of it on my main desktop (been meaning to do one forever!). Seems to be working fine at this stage.  Only annoyance was its constant hounding for me to use a pin number instead of a password. Didnt seem to matter how many times I said I dont want to use one it would still pop up the create a pin screen every login.  Problem solved by setting the pin to the same as my password :p

Installed the update on my HP EliteBook... After the update finished I noticed a warning in the security dashboard:

This links to this page with a list of updates from different manufacturers. One of the steps for this update is to clear the TPM - which will invalidate any keys held in this device - so better disable Bitlocker before doing it...

Had you updated previously with the TPM exploits manufacturers put a patch out for? The HP software may have just triggered a check for it.  https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05792935

In either case 2nd reason bitlocker isn't great for W10

Nope, I didn't - waiting for Bitlocker to be deactivated before I apply it.
