I've installed IE8 Beta 2 and it renders that website fine on Vista 32, although there are others that I have had trouble with (such as new format Facebook, which switches back to old facebook in IE8 mode, and deosn't render properly in compatibility mode). Cool thing about this release is that it remembers the compatibility mode setting for each website, and doesn't require a restart of IE when switching.

Seems strange that it is one of Microsofts own websites!! Either there is a bug in the 64bit version you are running or maybe the original beta wasn't uninstalled first. It could be a hangover from the original beta writing stuff to the registry that it shouldn't. You could try Tools/Advanced/ and then one of the reset settings options to reset IE back to factory defaults?

Cheers, Pete.

I didnt have IE beta 1 installed in this laptop.

Tried the option to factory defualt - the problem still prevails.

Have also submitted this in the IE 8 beta newsgroups. Seems strange as its a Microsoft website.

I thought about posting why not use Firefox/Opera, however then i remembered there are IE only sites eg windows update, some prefer it/business require it and that IE8 is finally the first release of IE to be standards compliant. Yay.
Hopefully web developers now only have to create on version of a webpage without a bunch of workarounds/hacks.
