There are lots of photos on them..is there any way I can pull them off

like i said you could try fitting it into a PC and see if it works as it rules out any sata to usb type stuff in the drive enclosure but chances are its the drive

 

And its likely not easy or cheap to get the data back.

Connect the drive.Right click on my computer.
Click on Manage.
On LHS click on Disk Management.
The drive should show up there if its working.
Does it have a drive letter?
If not right click on drive and give it one with "Change my letter...".

 

 

 

 

 

 

I am running windows 10.....my computer is not showing on the desktop ?

use the windows search and type in disk, select "create and formate hard disk partitions" 

 

or go to the run menu and type in "diskmgmt.msc"

The drive is showing as D:

 

But no Media is showing :)
