Got asked to help a friends father upgrade a desktop from Vista Business to Windows Home Premium.
AMD X2 machine micro ATX setup.

Installation crashed at about 67% firdst time around and looked online and this seems to be a popular error.

So I choose boot from disk, in Win 7 setup I then deleted the current partition and made a new one and formatted it so everything is fresh.

Installation goes fine and once rebooted Windows even grabs all the drivers it says it needs.
Device manager says no hardware is missing drivers.

Problem is that it randomly just turns off!

Bluescreen message not visible, basically just goes black screen then reboots.

I enabled the setting to pause before rebooting so I can see what the fault is but it doesnt pause on any bluescreen.

Safemode seems to run fine so Im assuming its a driver issue somewhere but I cant work out which one???
I havent installed any facotory motherboard drivers as when you run the factory disc it doesnt support Win7 and besides windows reports all drivers and hardware is running fine.
Unlike XP where if you havent manually installed the driver then things wont run win7 seemsto pull in everything it needs.

Any ideas?

Anyone know how I can see which driver is causing the crash?
as even with the pause before reboot option enabled it just crashes then instantly reboots.

Have you tried removing everything from the box? If there's a built-in video and you are using a video card, remove the card. If you have more than one memory stick there, remove all but one. Make sure the machine is not overclocked. If possible on BIOS disable RAID and any other things like that. Remove any other HDD except for the first one, and so on.

Reduce the possibilities of errors. Test combinations. It will be time consuming...

Is there a memory.dmp file created at all? I'm not at a Win 7 pc at the moment but what other options are under the debugging info menu?
