My daughter has just got a new Toshiba laptop running Windows 7.  She needed a printer so I got one that I had in storage in the garage, a Brother MFC-3100C, about 4 years old and couldn't find the driver CD.

Anyway i connected it to the Toshiba.  It recognised a new USB connection then identified it as a printer then the make and model and then went off to find a driver and then installed it totally automatically.

I'm impressed!

Makes my old laptop running XP Pro look positively ancient!

Yep :) the new Windows 7 driver support mode is awesome, like a polished version of vista(which half the time used to stop working...)

Thumbs up to Win7 from me too

I'm impressed by the fact it picks up my DSE webcam every time.. Vista/XP never did.. always needed 3rd party drivers.. and after every install i've done of Windows 7, it picked up all hardware and installed drivers for.. :)
