What is the name of the software?

If you cant uninstall it properly, my recomendation is to revert back to the most recent backup you made of your system before the software was installed.

As johnr said, you could see in the System Restore to see if there is a saved point before this software's install. Otherwise, as asked by Disenchanted, what's the software name? Is it in the adware/spyware list of Lavasot Adaware?

I recommend to run Webroot's SpySweeper on your PC.
Link

It has a free scan option and if it finds it then it can clean it. The only problem that you have to pay if you want it to be cleaned.
Personally I found this program very useful in the past when it was free (well trial for one month). It finds more spy sw than any else spyware program. And it cleans it very well.

I is a kollege stoodent. Bee nice.
