The only other application I will run is Twonky, which worked fine during testing.

Thinking I could work around the non-configurable SYS partition constraint, I thought I would give WHS a 20GB drive and 2TB drive, that way decoupling system and data, however, minimum size for primary HDD is 65GB and must be SATA (SCSI).

What a funny little operating system. It supports connection to a domain, but the user manager within file sharing has no AD integration at all.

Blast, I was hoping to use it as a cheap file server. It allows adding the machine to the domain but thats it.

SBS "Aurora" will be out soon, it's the cut down version of SBS 7 (minus Exchange etc) with some of the WHS features (backups, storage etc).

thanks, but I'll just stop being lazy and learn how to configure storage myself. This whole exercise is to decommission my existing SBS and have role specific servers, so I need to avoid any more shorcuts and do it properly.
