I just installed 5342 ultimate, however none of the product keys MS gave me work. I've requested new keys but none of them work.

From the five minutes ive used it, the improvement over the Feb CTP is HUGE. i'll say it again HUGE! But i'll spend a few hours giving it a good run and see how it handles.

Post results on my blog later tonight!

Can you please share some of those HUGE differences you are talking about?

I'm running build 5308 and probably wont run a newer version till beta2 is out... But would be interested to know what those HUGE differences are...

How do you guys get into the betas (I can understand with the MVP program though)?

That is, without being a paying developer, being a business (being an network admin had its advantages then, got to play with the XP and 2k betas) or downloading it from questionable sources?

Ok the first thing i found so far......speed. Everything seems to run so much faster. I havent managed to crash media player yet! Running it on highest priority seems best for it.

The two power icons in control panel have been replaced by a single one, but there are now two iSCSI initiator icons. Beats me. Also programs now has an icon.

Havent tested driver support yet, but all nessescary ones were installed, just had to install the AC97 sound driver via windows update.

The most annoying thing was it didnt enable the boot menu like the last build did. Had to do that manually and also install another keyboard as my wireless one doesnt work on the boot menu, it works in BIOS but not boot menu. Hmmmmm.

I notice you still have to allow windows access to certain settings when you want to make a change. Looks like thats here to stay, cant say its a bad idea though. Doesnt seem to be as many popups as last build though.

More as it arrives.....

freitasm: Are you sure you've tried the keys from the Feb CTP?

Otherwise, try contacting Nathan...

You know the best way to link is to use the permalink? http://www.geekzone.co.nz/bradstewart/199 is the permalink, and the page Google "sees". This way is consistent and easier to manage.

task for today - get the build first, then build 2 machines.

I hope it is faster - it's sluggish on my 2 test machines.
