Title pretty much says it all. I've downloaded Office 2007 Beta 2, installed it but when I try to activate it - I get an error saying that it is unable to connect and that I should check my connection. Obviously I am able to connect to the internet.

A friend has tried with his connection (different ISP and everything) and he has a similar error as well. Is it something wrong with the MS activation servers or Office Beta 2, or is it us?

This has been fixed now.  You should be able to successfully complete License Activation now.

Thanks
Nathan

Thanks Nathan. I will activate my copy tonight when I get home.

Oh got a question, and I know I should read EULA, how many test machines can we install it to with one Product Key? I briefly glance through the EULA and see that it says do not install on live production system as it is not supported... and something about where you can install it to... but am not clear with how many copies can be activated using the product key supplied. The previuos Office 2003 beta can be installed up to 10 machines.

It isn’t limited.  It can be installed to as many machines as needed.

Cheers

Cool Cheers, that will help with testing on different machines!

So far it feels great with new UI, takes a bit to get used and finding things, otherwise, quite intuitive. Awesome.

This version of office really is quite amazing. Good to see some innovation instead of re-releasing the same producst every couple of years
