If anyone can help fix this problem greatly appreciated.

Ive recently got fiber and its worse for some reason but on ADSL I had the issue as well.

Maxconnections on all accounts have been set to 1

Ive flushed DNS

Problem occurs mostly on MSN but can also happen on Gmail

Possibly if went to POP the issue would go, but that wouldnt work for me.

I tutued around with disk cache in TB this morning (about:config) but made not a skerrick of difference.

Another weird thing is in the morning when first start TB the issue is really bad, then it seems to come almost right by avo.

Tried various settings under advanced tab in server; no improvement.

Got me stymied!

Thanks, Al.

Untick "Allow immediate server notifications when new messages arrive" and see if that helps.

That will "hold open" a connection to the server (called IMAP IDLE) and then when you do something else like read a message or move a message you'll take another connection.

I mean it sounds more like you might have an underlying network problem - can you log into your router and make sure your UFB connection isn't bouncing/flapping?

Thanks but:

No change: Untick "Allow immediate server

What specific things do I need to do: UFB connection isn't bouncing/flapping?

I'd check the logs of your router to ensure it isn't always reconnecting.

How to do that, I don't know.  Not sure what model of router you've got there, nor if you're on PPPoE or DHCP.

OK those warnings relate to IPV6 so I disabled DHCPv6 Server (on the router). Since then, no warning messages.

Also, another critical thing with some mail servers is if your time is out on the router; this can effect your acceptable security.

My router was set without daylight saving, possibly a non-issue, but ive enabled that and perhaps this might help these issues.
