Problem: When I drag an iCal event into the To do area on the right of the iCal window, it changes the time for the event in the To Do area to a different time than the one in the iCal area. Sometimes not straight away, maybe 5 mins later.

What is the story?, why is it doing that? and what is the fix?

Cheers

ok then,

Can someone try to duplicate this and report back?

Make an app in iCal for 2pm on Sunday for an hour. Then once thats done, drag it over to your To Do's column, slotting it in close to tomorrows  date. Set the view in the to do's area to sort by date. Then double click on the to do and see if the time is the same as the one you get in your cal.

Cheers if you could do that and report back.

Have done this, I don't get the time coming up at all unless I add an alarm to the event, it then tells me when the alarm is going to sound...however there is no indication of the time. Pretty sure that's the way it's meant to behave, if you have an event in your calendar there's no need to add it into your To do list. Strange if it is actaully changing the time though!
