Paid for an expensive parcel at 7.30am yesterday and then received that coupon code at 2pm
Have asked if they could apply the coupon to my as not yet shipped parcel.

^ Customer Service got back to me
Not able to apply the coupon. Expected reply, but annoying

How long does it usually between delivery to the warehouse and the parcel showing up on your account? I am using it for the first time; USPS showed delivered when I checked the tracking this morning, but YouShop isn't showing anything for me. I know it takes some time for them to process it. Just curious how long it usually is.

Can be really quick, or 1-2 days, more if a weekend is involved.

Have Youshop changed policies lately?

I sent a package (December last year) that was "oversize".  I emailed customer services, gave them the exact dimensions (165.1cm x 38.1cm x 12.7cm and weight of 5.44kg) and was told that they would ask for permission from the Youshop manager and let me know.  I was informed this was fine and i would receive an email stating my parcel was oversize once it arrived but to not worry and call them, give them the reference number and all would be sorted......which it was.  It wall went really smooth and i was impressed with the service.

Fast forward 8 months and i asked the same question and "Kelly" from customer services couldn't have been more unhelpful.  She said that the item "probably" would be accepted but it would cost more as they would need to get a freight company to ship it....and no, she cant give me an indicative figure!!  There is no way to Pre-approve an oversize item!!  Even though they did it before!

I have tried all (that i know off or have found via a google search) and the cheapest i can see it Ship2u. $74 NZD (compared to the $130 i paid last December with Youshop).

I have gone back quite a few pages and i see people have used ship2u before but they haven't really commented on how good the service is.  Any comments on ship2u?  The fact its a good $50 NZD cheaper then anyone else (MyUS was next cheapest) kind of worries me a little.

Thanks

I've also had a very unhelpful reply from Kelly, asking if they could hold a parcel for a couple more days to consolidate with another parcel that was on it's way.

Another customer service person was able to do the same thing I'd asked a couple of weeks earlier without a problem.

Seems "Kelly" is not very helpful at all - I received notification of a parcel arriving this morning so while lying in bed I thought I would use my iPhone and login and pay for it, as well as take advantage of the WOOHOO20 code which expires tomorrow. My parcel was $41 prior to discount.

So anyhoo, I logged in and selected my parcel, then clicked thru and selected my pre-saved card and the billing address, then looked all over for the screen to enter the promo code. Couldn't find it. So I clicked on "confirm" thinking that it may give me the opportunity to enter the code in the next screen...but NOOOOOOO. It billed me $41.

As soon as I got to work I initiated a chat with the ever helpful Kelly and told her of my experience. She said "sorry, we cannot refund once it has been paid for". She told me that apparently there is a Review button in the top right of the screen and that I should have clicked on that to be able to enter the code. She also came back with "may I ask why you went ahead and paid for your parcel without checking with us first if you believed there was an issue?". I explained to her again that I scrolled around and could not find any opportunity to enter the code and I thought it would pop up and give me the chance in the next screen.

Her response was that "there is a Review button in the top right and I might have missed it possibly. We apologize for the inconvenience". Then..."Kelly has disconnected".

Wonderful friggin customer service NZ Post - Kelly needs to go on a course.

Am I blind or does this mysterious Review button exist in plain sight? What's more, on the mobile site is it very clear where to enter the code? Anyone had the same experience when paying for parcels thru their phone?

Never used it.  But I did use shipito and found it much cheaper than youshop.  youshop is a rebranded singapore post service, so there are likely several layers of profit making involved.

I still find YouShop cheaper and quicker than getting someone to send direct via USPS (so far I have only used the USA Warehouse)

Managed to get one more parcel out before the WOOHOO20! coupon expired on Saturday, one parcel arrived on Sunday and will now wait for a few more that will over the next fortnight to take advantage of consolidated shipping.

Just used Ship2u.

They only ship from the states once a week (cut of dates are on the website) and i missed it by a day so took a little longer (wasn't in a rush) but paying $45 as opposed to over $300 US from UPS or Fedex.......i'll wait an extra week.

Really easy to use and very good value.

How does it work that makes the difference?

I have personally used Youshop,  and had the unplesent expereice of having to deal with Kelly which I ended up getting FedEX to uplift from the youshop USA Depot - as NZ post just became to hard to deal with.

Have just used BuyUSA.co.nz and they were slow... very slow (they didnt even know what items were and were not in my shipment etc...).

So am looking at alternatives.  Any suggestions?

I have used Youshop but not for a while.

My current reshipper of choice is ws1.com, their prices seem quite good and it is generally 4 day DHL shipping to NZ.

Ship2u has even better pricing than ws1 but I haven't tried them yet.

Whichever service you use don't forget to check where their warehouse is so you don't end up paying US sales tax unexpectedly.

Great thank you for that, we will have a look at ws1.com
