kyhwana2: Hmm, my package was delivered to the youshop on the _3rd of December_. I paid the shipping on it on the 6th and it's still showing as "Ready for dispatch". WTF.

Won't be using youshop again!

I had one delivered on the 3rd (US Time), I was notified on the 7th (NZ Time) and left the warehouse the next day. It was quite a small item (Stylus), this could explain why mine has shipped. Previous items have arrived well before the estimated delivery date. Hope the same applies here.

Ordered something from Amazon that shipped direct last Thurs NZ Time and I received it Monday morning.

I just got an email indicating my package had arrived in Auckland and to visit Youshop to get tracking information. But on the site, the package is still in the US!

From what ive read here, you will have the package in your hand before the youshop page gets updated with your tracking number.

Received notification earlier that two are in NZ. One is still on the way for some reason even though it left at the same time but might just be processing delay. So be interesting to see how long it takes to clear customs, or how long it takes for them to notify me.

Huh, just recieved an email saying my package is in Auckland, while the youshop status page said it was still "ready to dispatch".

(Just checking now, the youshop site is "experiencing technical difficulties". Maybe they're fixing the crap tracking?)

After complaining about parcel 2 and how long it was taking to dispatch to New Zealand (even going through customer support twice and getting two separate answers (including one to say it was lost)), it shipped 5 days after I paid for the USA to NZ postage. It arrived in New Zealand today, followed very closely by parcel 3 which shipped a day after parcel 2.

Also just got notice for parcel 4 that just arrived at the warehouse ...

Parcel just arrived (according to my email - I'm not actually at home) - quite impressed with the speed especially at this time of year. Delivered to USA warehouse 6th Dec, dispatched from USA 7th Dec, Arrived in NZ yesterday 11th dec and delivered to auckland residential address this morning 12th. Not bad at all, I'll probably use this service again but will be more mindful of volumetric weight.

Did you get any advice of customs clearance or was it way under the value for GST etc?

Got my package at the front door today so notified it was in NZ on 10/12 and at my house on 12/10. As expected plenty of air came with the package. I could have stuffed a couple of box sets of Blurays in the box and paid the same.

As I noted before, great service for packages that don't have huge volumetric weight but do the calculations if you have packages with lots of air to see if it's worthwhile. Maybe one of the freight forwarders who do consolidation or repacking might be a better choice in that situation.

One of mine just came in as well. So good service once it hits NZ. The other two I suspect are held in customs pending some tax to be paid.

Yeah, with the high volumetric charges they really do need to sort out repackaging and consolodation before I will be using again.

So long as I am OK paying GST on anything then getting thru a work supplier to include is just easier and cheaper when the minimum on most orders is getting up there pricewise and I have no option with nz post to get them all stuck in a single box.
