Yes, manufacturers stop amazon shipping to NZ. That's why we have youshop and similar services.

It was ok to ship in May. Damn.

YouShop is useless for Amazon given how much air they ship.

They will re pack things if it will save you on shipping, so I'm not sure how that works.

The last time I looked into this it was hit and miss.

Essentially my understand was that "we may choose to repack if we think this will be appropriate but will never open retail packaging" - how the hell do they know? I know they aren't going to open every package.

If you really need repacking or package consolidation by an established service give that one mentioned recently a go - shipitto? Anyone tried them recently? I might try them next time I have a couple of packages to ship from the US.

Just ordered a pair of Polk noise cancelling IEM's with the friends and family 50% off special and the wife a Lumia 520 for $79US off Amazon - this will be my 12th order through Youshop.

It's not the fastest service granted but so far I've only been surprised once with the cost when it was $40ish instead of the $18-25 it normally is.

Interesting; I used YouShop for the first time a couple of months ago and got a $55 delivery charge for a couple of pairs of jeans. I resolved to revert to using Shipito after that because of how much cheaper it is... but maybe that high price was just a fluke.

Youshop will open up the shipping box, but not the retail packaging. Last time I ordered just a weighless bag and an ssd from amazon and they shipped them together in a box of 38x40x40cm, which would cost around $125 to ship to nz. Youshop cut down the box size to 38x40x9cm, so they reduced the cost to $50. But still it didn't cost that cheap. I will opt for other companies next time unless Youshop offer consolidation and the 15% discount again.

My YouShop packages were left at my back door today by CourierPost, even though they have a key to a secure area and someone was home. It was a no signature required service, which I only used because of my CourierPost account. Has anyone else had this happen?

I always get things to my PO box or to work for that exact reason. Courierpost dont seem to actually note their authority to leave or delivery instructions so everytime they change the driver I have to go thru the whole hassle again of explaining them where to leave things.

dcha160: There are many. Shipito and Comgateway offer it if I remember correctly. Commission is around 8-10%,

Thanks, I'll take a look at those now.

Darn, doesn't seem to be working.... I think the problem is because I have already won the item on eBay via an auction :-/

So can't use these services which supply a US verified PayPal/credit-card payment for those pesky sellers who insist on it.

Were you given a paypal account to send the payment to? Maybe you could try to ask the seller for his/her paypal account email address, send the email address and the item info to your parcel forwarder, and see if they'll help you from there. But before doing that, change the shipping address on your ebay account to the US address you got.

I'll give it a try, but I doubt it as I've already tried contacting them to discuss it.

Wouldn't be a good idea to wait around... they're already sold nearly four thousand of them in only 24hrs! (and it has been going on for longer than 24hrs too, so who knows how many they've sold in total?)
Personally I spent about two minutes (maybe five minutes max) quickly reading reviews on it (especially in comparison with the US$249 Samgsung Chromebook, which is its closest direct competitor) then purchased it ASAP!

Is this still on? I can't find it on the Acer website.

It was only via eBay, and the price has since popped up (still a decently good deal though):

hey there,
just found a new site for some decent sales, but only ships US wide atm...
u can sign up here:

https://www.theclymb.com/invite-from/ShonnanWibrow

not trying to purposely get store cred but if you sign up via my invite link, will be a very happy camper :P

but main reason im here is about the youPost address.
the site only has Address line 1 therefore cannot add the 'Address line 2: Suite NZxxxxxx'
is it really needed ???
also there was not enough room on the Address Line 1 for the '14601 North Bybee Lake Court' but was luckily enough to find google maps that interpreted it as '14601 N Bybee Lake Ct' im guessing that should be all goods?

and is that 15% discount valid ? and where abouts can i find ?

much obliged.

Amazon auto truncates the address to "14601 N Bybee Lake Ct" so you should be fine as long as you have the other details such as city and postcode.
Im assuming the suite line is eaiser for the inward goods guys to identify who's package it is. Ask NZPOST via email if your still not sure.
