Kthulhu42: Guys, I asked Youshop about the 50% off coupon and when it expires and they just sent this back:     "Thx, that promo code was specific to a customer's inquiry re their parcel, it wasn't a code for general use sorry"    so that's a thing.

I just tried to use the "Howabout50" code just now and got told that "This discount code has expired"!! WTF????? NZYoushop you suck!

Yeah it does suck, I paid extra for fast shipping to get my parcels here before the end of August so I could use the 50% off, and now (although I know they're at the warehouse because the tracking shows they're delivered) I haven't got my parcel at warehouse notification and I get told I can't use it.

Maybe I can use the 25% off voucher when they do eventually show :/

Has anyone come across any sort of discount code for this month?

Only "Howabout25" - it's not as good as 50% but it'll do.

Cool, thanks for that :) Better than nothing. It would be nice if they released a 50% discount code though. It might make up for the fact they don't offer consolidation

11 days and counting. Youshop parcel last scanned on the 24th of July as shipped from facility in Portland. No updates since. Anyone heard of any ships going down recently? Pretty disappointing service. How have others found shipito? Any other reasonable alternatives?

I have also had a shipment delayed, I usually get everything about a week after shipment but Youshop have had an issue with the airlines being at max capacity (I saw this on their website somewhere).

My shipment that went out of the 24th has just updated to say its arrived in NZ so I'll probably get it tomorrow.

My shipment is delayed as well, but tbh they're the best forwarders I've ever used. Many have sneaky extra charges, or bad customer service - Shipito comes to mind, their service was horrendous and actively rude, I asked them a question and they responded "Just Google it" - so even if they're taking longer at the moment (the fastest I got a parcel was for days, which was great) I'm going to keep using them.

The lack of consolodation is what annoys me with youshop. My amazon one went missing, so I got amazon to reship it. Turns up in 2 boxes this time and has $0 value on it because its a reshipment so now I have to stuff about adding up the contents of each box from the first invoice to get the 2 values I need, and now pay an extra amount because of it being 2 boxes this time.

shipito is good from all reports I have had from people and will probably be what I use if I keep getting the volume of stuff I have recently. Plus I should be able to use fedex so get good rates rather than the quite pricey nz post rates.

I thought shipto was more expensive, at least when I compared my last package using the shipping calculator.

Hmm, perhaps it was not them I was looking at. The one I looked at let you use your own fedex account so you get your rates.

They were really expensive when I used them, although you could choose the type of shipping you required. But they also had a sign up fee, a single parcel fee, a mailbox fee and had terrible service. Wouldn't recommend :/

For big packages i found mainfreight was quite cheap (eg. 2x floor standing speakers)

Fear not! It looks like it's coming. Got an email today:

We’re running some research with customers who have used the YouShop service in the last 12 months. We are looking at extending this service to offer our customers the ability to consolidate their parcels before shipping them to New Zealand.

We have some screen designs that we want to put in front of customers, and we are keen to understand how people use these so during the session you will be asked to complete a couple of tasks. We are aiming to keep this service simple and easy to use, so we are looking for a range of customers to offer feedback.

Who else got this?
