I need a discount code, It seems I was too hasty in paying for a parcel yesterday.

Ordered some stuff (clothes) from Amazon. Got youhop notification yesterday morning. Logged into Youshop last night and paid, using whynot25. Happy.
As soon as I got my confirmation email from youshop, I got another one from them saying a parcel had arrived. Much bigger this time (first one was only $17 postage, $12 after discount, next one is over $40).
Looks like Amazon split my purchase (though I only had one tracking number, and all items from the same seller, and consolidate ticked on checkout). Ah well. Chatted to Youshop this morning. Nothing they can do as I have already paid for the first one, not prepared to offer same discount code on second one. Not their fault I know. Just frustrating. First one isn't due to ship until Wednesday, but they cannot undo or anything. I suppose though, If I had waited until today, the whynot code would have expired knowing my luck!

My parcel that I used my code on last month is apparently about to be sent, and I'm pretty sure it is not mine. The CSR sent me photos of the second parcel to arrive and it contains everything I ordered, so no idea what is in the first parcel.
I have emailed them (over 24 hours now), no reply. The CSR didn't seem to care too much in the live chat either. Oh well, hope it is something nice (not really, I'd be happy to arrange to get it to the correct owner, if someone from NZ Post would care enough to get in touch...)

I'm just annoyed that the discount code I had and used, was used on a parcel I didn't intend to use it on. I placed the order with Amazon, all from the same seller and consolidated before shipping so that I could use this code, and it looks like I used it on a parcel that isn't mine :/

Well I just had my first Youshop merchant failure. I wanted to purchase a couple of folio covers for the Toshiba Z10T Tablet PC and they were on sale at Toshiba Direct.

http://www.toshiba.com/us/accessories/Laptop-Cases/Detachable-Ultrabook/PA1545U-1BLK

They were actually cheaper than that on the day.

They didn't accept a NZ credit card so I used my US one and arranged for them to be shipped to Youshop. The next day Toshiba called me on my US number (which I have routed to my cell) and told me there was a problem and they could not ship to freight forwarder! It was a policy of theirs. I guess because it violates their sell only in the US policy though how they knew the address was a freight forward is interesting.

I had to change the address to a US one and ask a friend to send to me which might end up cheaper since the Youshop estimate was $26 while USPS will be about $12 I think. Of course I now have to ask the friend to go to the PO for me.

But similarly I ordered a Surface Pro 2 case from Microsoft online (US) and while they would only take US credit cards, did not have an issue shipping to Youshop.

Update on this if anyone is interested,

Seems that Youshop mistakenly entered the parcel dimensions as smaller than they were, and then when they realised, I had already paid for it. So they entered a new one, which confused me (and their CSRs).
When I queried and they provided photos, they put two and two together and worked out what had happened. They just released my parcel for the (cheaper) price I had paid.

Pretty happy with the service, and very happy with the price. Thanks NZ Post.

Has anybody had problem with their Youshop name which is NZ xxxxxx Firstname Lastname  ?

The last two transactions I did on US sites rejected my name in this format so I had to just my name and use the Suite # to identify my package.  So far Youshop has managed to work out that it is my package.  I guess the concern is some online retailers might omit the Suite # in the address leaving the package orphaned when it arrives at the Youshop warehouse?

I just had my first rejection of using NZ xxxxxx as well by Kmart.com (they didn't allow numbers as first names)
Hopefully by just having the number as the Suite resolves all issues

Worried for my box from Kmart.com
Going to be very expensive based on a few images of similar orders - grab very large box, dump the two small Hot Wheels boxes in, ship

Fingers crossed YouShop repacks.
