Evening follow geekzoners,

The Ride to Conquer Cancer benefiting Cancer Society Auckland, is a 200+km, 2-day cycling journey that I?m embarking on to fight cancer.

In 2001 while deployed overseas I received a phone call from my sister that our dad had collapsed out of the blue and was in hospital getting test done.  Test had shown that cancer had taken over most of his body and he was discharged a few days later to rest before for treatment.  It was only a week later he collapse again and back in hospital, I was able to fly straight home from my deployment and was able to spend 2 days at his beside before he quietly and in comfort passed away.

A few years later my uncle (Micky) was diagnosed with bowl cancer.  I was able to visit him in Australia during his treatment and although it brought the family together and closer it was not a very enjoyable experience seeing someone that is close to you suffer.  A few weeks after visiting him he passed away.

They say bad luck comes in three, well my mother was to not let that happen when she was diagnosed with cancer a few years back. With determination and strength she made it through all the painful treatments and the medication to still be here today living life like it never happened.

A big part that help mum fight cancer was having access to modern day medicine and the latest technology.  To fight cancer it takes money to develop and research these treatments and you can help!!! Please support me to raise a minimum of $2500.  Any and every dollar will help.

Please support my Ride to Conquer Cancer by making a donation today. Proceeds will support ground-breaking cancer research funded by the Cancer Society at the Auckland Cancer Society Research Centre (ACSRC), based in the University of Auckland and will directly impact the lives of thousands of people going through cancer treatment.

If there is anyone who would like to talk about some corporate sponsorship and would like to have a face to face meeting, i will try to endeavour to make myself available at your convenience.  I do have ideas for printing my own bike gear with sponsors names on it or even just one if the donation is big enough.

Thank you in advance for your help.
