But Microsoft thinks pirates are good:

PiracyRUs: Microsoft asks users who steal software to steal from them

A rather startling article at InformationWeek has quoted Microsoft’s business group president Jeff Raikes acknowledging that piracy of Microsoft’s software inevitably leads to some of those pirates actually deciding to buy Microsoft’s products and services instead of stealing it all, thereby putting money in Microsoft’s pockets after all.

Would anybody even feel slightly guilty for stealing a sports car off Bill Gates?
Anyways nice box.

..computer I mean.

I wonder if XP is gonna become cheap enough to be worth buying (for me) now with Vista out.

XP has always been inexpensive, if you know how to buy it.  First, enrol at your local polytechnic or university in an inexpensive course and then with your new ID card either buy a copy from their computer store (if they have one) or go to Harvey Norman or Dick Smith or wherever.

Then either withdraw from the course and get your money back, or do the course, happy in the knowledge that Microsoft is paying for your education.

Wrong question. It implies that you think it is ok to steal from someone that's better off, not only in terms of magnitude. This is certainly not the right mindset.
