kingdragonfly: The Netflix TV series, "Tiger King", is getting a lot of buzz on social media.

Reality is stranger than fiction, in particular when you have well-armed mentally unbalanced carnies threatening Waco-style show-downs.

I'm 3 episodes in now. Jerry Springer meets the zoo.

I've been watching a few series here and there during the lockdown period and the one that stands out most for me is Hunters on Amazon Prime.

It is about a misfit group pf Nazi Hunters in NY City during the 70's and it stars Al Pacino. I ended up binging it over 2 days and I cannot recommend it enough!

I enjoyed this too - can't wait for more!

I was a bit disappointed with the end of man in the high castle but I guess it follows the book in that way

Season 4 of The Last Kingdom. Production quality has definitely improved since Netflix took it over. Great show.

Watched After Life season 2 last night - as good and smart as season 1. Recommended.

I really enjoyed it too. It literally starts with a bang which might make it seem like this series will be a big rollercoaster ride. New viewers should note that much of it is a lot slower.

I preferred Watchmen. It has the same sort of story line where a previously open menace is now working in secret to do dastardly stuff only to be thwarted by the very racial group they seek to persecute.

Yep. Only problem is Mrs Code still doesn’t like the language so I’ll have to watch S2E2 and onwards on my own.

jonathan18:

CokemonZ: 1st episode of westworld season 3.

Forgot how good this series is.

And luckily it climbed out of that pit that was S03E05, as I noted earlier; S03E06 was a distinct improvement, thank god.

Different tone, agreed. Still enjoyed it
Backstory of where a lot of this came from was pretty cool.

Similar issue but different for me...Lovely Dan hasn't seen the first series (but she says she wants to) and I want to watch series two with her, however I have to wait for here to watch S1, which I am not convinced she'll get around to.

In the meantime I started watching Devs. 2 episodes in...I'm intrigued.

We watched After Life season 2 in one go - only six 30 minutes episodes are good for that.

I am by no means a prude and don't usually get offended by bad language (or much else) on TV - but I don't really get why Ricky G felt he needed to salt this show with heavy dose of a fairly 'off' word. Not sure what is gained by this and IMO it almost spoils the show - particularly given its subject matter. Maybe I'm missing something here. Even so, I really did enjoy it - he's a genius.

I've been watching Lego Masters with my wife, both the Australian and American versions.  Great TV during trying times :)

- Annoys me as well. What if they made Dad's Army now - 'Don't tell them your ****ing name, Pike'. Wouldn't be surprised. More modern, I suppose, but progress, no.

Tried quoting properly, but it said too many quotes.

He's really fond of a particular word and uses it liberally in his Social Media posts as well.

I don't mind it too much, but Lovely Dan isn't a fan unless it's used sparingly and simply for shock value where deemed necessary. Liberal use of said word doesn't add anything to anything and to be honest is better not used, but each to their own, I suppose.

Ricky would laugh at this discussion, but TBH he does overuse it.

Reminds me of Billy Connolly and swearing - 'you don't like it, don't ****ing listen'
