Just finished watching the final season of Homeland. Very sad to see it end. One of my favorite shows of all time.

It was a great season too, I thoroughly enjoyed it and I think it was the only Homeland season that I kept up-to-date on weekly (rather than saving up the complete series to binge).

I'm currently working my way through "The Outsider", only 2 episodes to go and then I'll start on Westworld Season 3. I'm slowly catching up on my MySky recordings backlog 😄

Good Omens - Prime Video

Stellar cast and great production values.

Very Terry Pratchett in it's style (obviously), with Michael Sheen & David Tennant doing a great job of being an angel and a demon in the pre-apocalypse.

Supporting cast is surprising and clever. worth a watch if you like black comedy.

I'm up to the last episode of Band of Brothers. It's definitely a 'boy' program , being about WWII and featuring tough characters who cuss constantly.

The story and characters are portrayed with a bit of depth to them which prevents the whole thing becoming rah rah enlistment porn for the US military, which a lot of war programs suffer from.

I didn't dig the 3 minutes opening credits of each episode though. TG for FF.

I though I was late to this party but I just checked and I see it came out in 2001.....I knew I would get round to watching it eventually.

19 years on, still my favourite TV (mini) series ever.

The episode where they are camped/fighting in the forest in the middle of a really harsh winter is brutal.

Magic for Humans on Netflix

Short (20 min episodes) of magic tricks done in everyday locations (eg the street, laundrymat, local park etc).

The magician is very good - I know how a few tricks are done, but not most, and even then it is hard to spot.
Light, little bit of humor and easy to watch.

Very funny segment preforming the 3 cup and ball hustle on 7 year old kids. Used Chocolate coins and they had to eat broccoli when it they guessed wrong.

The sort of thing to fill in time when you have a spare 20 min break before you have to be somewhere.

Star Trek: Discovery (S01E01-E03) - 8/10

I tried watching this a year or so ago, and it didn't catch me at the time.  I decided to give it a second go and enjoyed it.  Having got to the third episode, it feels like the first two were just a prologue to the main show.

Looking forward to seeing the rest of the season, and have read about some new characters (no spoilers) joining in season 2 which sounds interesting.

Currently watching Years and Years on Prime. Staring Emma Thompson as a Katie Hopkins type character who gets into Politics. Created and written by Russell T Davies and composed by Murray Gold. If you’re familiar with their work, the series is very distinctly their style.

This came out last year and I remember hearing a lot of good buzz at the time

Currently watching episode 3 and the whole thing so far has been amazing. The pilot was the most gripping introduction to a tv series I’ve seen in a while.

The series starts in 2019 and then jumps 5 years and has more subsequent time jumps. Shows how the world will look technologically, socially, politically and economically based on our current climate. Centers around one family. This isn’t a spoiler as such but it’s a world where Angela Merkle and the Queen has died, China declares war on HongKong, and Donald Trump gets a second term.
If I had watched this show in 2019, I would never believe such crazy events could ever happen but watching it now in 2020, it hits very differently. Feels more like a premonition one that I can very easily see happening. It’s very chilling.

So far It’s a solid 10/10.

The Trip To Greece, 6-part tv version

Winterbottom, Coogan and Brydon touring Greece this time.

Similar to previous Trips albeit with older leads and more than a touch of melancholy and mortality.

Possibly their weakest outing but still enjoyable.

Tales From The Loop

A beautiful looking small town sci-fi/supernatural anthology series based on a book of paintings.

The first two episodes were amazing, hope the rest maintain the excellence.

Not sure if this has already been mentioned but I've just finished "The Spy

Based on true events of an Israeli spy who infiltrates the Syrian Government, lead is played by Sasha Baron Cohen

Very good mini series(6 eps), thoroughly enjoyed watching and highly recommended.

Sasha crushed this non comedic role

Just watched Staged - BBC

About some actors rehearsing a play during lockdown - six episodes only short but absolutely hilarious.

Star studded and some great guest appearances.

Dont IMDB it as it will spoil it, just watch it.

Started watching (4 episodes) Warrior Nun on Netflix last night. 7/10 so far. Better than I thought it was going to be.
