Me either. And how did you reply to a post of mine that I don't even recall making?

Back on topic(?) I keep forgetting I still haven't started watching season five of Brooklyn 99.

Stu: Back on topic(?) I keep forgetting I still haven't started watching season five of Brooklyn 99.

I can't remember where we're up to on B99 - about where Rosa and Jake are in Florida? Witness Protection, maybe? I'm not sure. I may have to start over.

I can think of worse things.

First two episodes of What if.... on Disney

Part of the MCU TV line (Wandavision, Loki) but animated but with many of the voices of the original actors.

First episode was average. Second episode was amazing if a little sad knowing Chadwick Boseman had passed away. The ending is a real kicker.

alasta:

I see the second season of Five Bedrooms has gone live on Neon. I really enjoyed the first season, so this might hold me back from cancelling my Neon subscription for a while.

Thx good recommendation

The White Lotus on Neon. Comedy - excellent IMO. If you’re not keen at first, give it time to breathe - gets better.

I think I should re-consider my recommendation on this now that we've finished watching it. In the second half of the final episode there are some scenes that I found grossly obnoxious and that I've never seen on TV before. I'm no prude and you could say that common scenes of killings or rape are obnoxious - this is not those types of scenes but what I'm referring to went beyond normal decency and was totally gross. The detail was unnecessary and almost as if the director wanted to cause offence. I'll stop there - no further spoilers.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Watching the final episode of 146 of Hill Street Blues tonight. Its been great to see it again. I've listened to that theme tune 290 times over the last few months and I still love it.

Mare of Easttown (HBO)

Police drama/thriller set in small town USA with Kate Winslett playing the lead role. Really enjoyed it.

With the exception of that scene and one other scene involving the same character toward the end of the scene I found pretty confronting, on the balance I'd still recommend it.

I do agree that scene you are referring to was way over the line.

The Defeated [Netflix].  One of the best shows i have seen in quite a while, that final episode wraps it up so well but still leaves it open for a 2nd season. 9/10

Wife and I have been watching The Crown on Netflix NZ.

We've just started the season where Olivia Coleman is Lizzie.

It can be slow at times, but it is quite gripping, too. So much I didn't know about recent British history and the Royal family, which has been quite the eye opener.

I'm not sure how close to the truth some of the family-oriented stories are, but man these people are a dysfunctional bunch! I just can't relate to them at all...and clearly they can't relate to normal humans, either.

I watched the first episode because the premise sounded pretty interesting - but the "Tough cop from Nooo Yoick" seemed far to heavy. It really put me off.

Does it get better?

I really enjoyed the series. About 3 major plot-lines going on though the series. The cop has just one of them.
Give it another go. I ended up binge-watching the series last weekend.
