Hey, I am at an age where they wouldn't even need to be on the same streaming platform for me to make that kind of mistake.

I'm just glad there is someone other than myself that I can ridicule mercilessly. 😆

Superman and Lois.

Compared to other shows in the "Arrowverse" (I'm looking at you Supergirl and Batwoman), this is surprisingly watchable. Unsurprisingly it's full of inconsistencies like Superman often being able to fly between cities in only a few seconds, but when he needs to chase a villain flying at jetfighter type speed he struggles to catch up, but I can forgive this in a comic book show. They throw in a bit of family drama with it being later in Superman's career when he and Lois have teenage sons, which is (if nothing else) a somewhat original approach.

It's shame there hasn't been an actor since Christopher Reeve who's been successful at making Clark Kent and Superman different enough that you almost believe that people wouldn't realise they were one in the same. As with every other iteration (other than Reeve's) Clark Kent is pretty much just Superman with a pair of glasses. When Reeve did it his entire persona, posture, and way of speaking changed and it really went a long way to help you believe that people might not realise. Not such luck here.

Overall a fun (but forgettable) show that doesn't require a lot of thinking, and doesn't shove political ideology down your throat like it's sister shows are known to do.

I do enjoy that story of Cavill dressing up as Clark and walking around Times Square when BvS launched and not a single person recognised him.

"The Man Who Fell to Earth" 1st episode has me intrigued.

"Outer Range" Episodes 1-4 has been solid so far.

Just watched the last episode of Slow Horses.  The Mick Herron books are one of my very favourite book series, and I had high hopes when I saw that Apple had adapted it for TV.  The casting is perfect and the storyline close enough to the book to keep Mick Herron fans happy, and I absolutely loved it.  What came as a nice surprise was a trailer to series two, (Dead Lions) was tagged on to the end of the last episode, but no release date yet.  I even sounds like there will be another two series after that!

Yep, and it got me interested in reading the books now.

Heartstopper - Netflix season 1 (8 ep) IMDb 9/10RT Aud 98% Critics 100%

Boy meets boy. Boys become friends. Boys fall in love. An LGBT+ series about life, love, and everything that happens in between. Charlie and Nick are at the same school, but they've never met... until one day when they're made to sit together. They quickly become friends, and soon Charlie is falling hard for Nick, even though he doesn't think he has a chance. But love works in surprising ways, and Nick is more interested in Charlie than either of them realised. Heartstopper is about love, friendship, loyalty and mental illness. It encompasses all the small stories of Nick and Charlie's lives that together make up something larger, which speaks to all of us.

OK - I have just finished watching this 1st series. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT - 9.5/10. This is based upon a series LGBT+ graphic novels by Alice Oseman. Apparently there will be a second series as the first series only cover books 1 & 2 of 7 books, plus the actors very much want it to happen and this is one of Netflix highest rating shows.

Most of the actors are first timers and boy are they ever so good. Oliver Colman (Nicks mother) is the only known actor. Stephen Fry has a voice over part as the Head Master whom you hear over the school announcement system.

I just wished there were these type of books, films and TV series when I was a teen going through C of E based boarding schools in the sixties and early seventies. This is must viewing for all LGBT+ teens, out & especially closeted. It is also must viewing for these teens parents and wider family, also for all those working in the education system from government bureaucracy downwards.

PS: I wonder if it is shown on Netflix USA especially in the Republican states where "don't say gay" laws in schools is being enacted.

Slow Horses - Apple TV original 6/10.

Watched first two episodes of four released so far (12 episodes over two seasons) and I hope it picks up. John Le Carre it isn't, but there is a pot boiling of intrigue and plot twists and with no doubt more to come.

It‘s SLOW horses and as such it begun SLOWLY as you said. After the sixth episode it is at operation temperature now. I‘d give it a 7.5/10. When ‚Pulp Fiction‘ can handle it, why shouldn‘t ‚Slow Horses?‘

The Brink, as mentioned before, if you like Tim Robbins or Jack Black, you'll probably enjoy this. It's one of the best things I've watched for quite a while and I am gutted there was no second season.

Just watch it, it's funny and dramatic in parts and Jack Black and Robbins are awesome.

Watched the second episode of The Ipcress File (2022) on Acorn TV and it is still a great remake.
