Mr Robot - currently the best thing on tv, season 1 near the end.

+1 totally agree - I'm surprised it's not getting more mention/discussion on this site!

because everyone is over on Gameplanet forums discussing it, 6 pages so far. smile

I'm a fan.

We just finished watching S7/part 2 of Mad Men.  As children of the '60s, I guess we were biased from the start to love that show.  As non-broadcast TV viewers, watching the series wasn't an eight year journey, but it's been a near obsession for the past few months.  Hell - we're going to miss it.

We loved Sopranos, Breaking Bad,  Up to date (and waiting) with Better Call Saul, House of Cards, GOT, Fargo.  Have watched Homeland, True Detective 1 - both (IMO) about as cheesy / lame as I can tolerate.  OITNB - a fail for us - not even close to being interesting.  GOT I intensely dislike in just so many ways I could write a book about it - but I am so thoroughly hooked I'm like a junkie looking for my next fix.  Sci-fi - no thanks - I might tolerate or even enjoy, but SWMBO hates it.

Question - what should we watch next that we've missed?

There is "Narcos" premiere on Netflix tomorrow.  The concept / plot looks interesting, the trailer however doesn't look promising IMO.

Watched Wayward Pines ep 1 and didn't like it...

Three episodes to go for Banshee s3. Small things are startingL to annoy now.

Looking for the next thing.

dclegg: We've been working our way through Wayward Pines (on Hulu), and are really digging it so far. Currrently up to ep 7 (of 10), and I'm hoping we're not let down by its eventual conclusion.

When you get there, share what you think of the ending.

Not going to spoil it for others with details, but I will say I thought the ending was fine. It felt like a fair and believable ending to me.

All in all, I stand by my recommendation for this show. Went in with no expectations, and was pleasantly surprised by it.

Prefered the books ending

Me too. Hated the TV show ending, ruined the series imho.

Just finished watching Longmire Season 4 - available on Netflix... The great mystery is solved pretty soon but it continues...

Banshee - last season was all over the place, the unnecessary sex scenes got really old, really fast. If Jason Starr wasn't in it we wouldn't have watched it.

Outlander Season 2 - finally finished Season 2 and I have to say the last 2 episodes were some of the most disturbing I have ever seen and I was affected/upset by it days later. Homosexual rape and torture along with psychological torment. It was really, truly upsetting. The victim is suicidal for most of the final episode before he has a heart to heart with his wife and then they cry and the happy music plays and he is back to his usual happy self. Jesus.

The strain.

Decent story to follow. Few cliff hangers. Seen the 2 available seasons. Cant wait for the next.
Can be scary for the first few episodes.

Absolutely glued to Narcos on Netflix. Pablo Escobar and the Colombian Drug Cartel. It is frightening to imagine the hold he had on that country.

I really enjoyed this as well.

SWMBO didn't - too in the face violent for her - in context of the story being reasonably contemporary and presented with documentary style narrative.

'Transparent' on Lightbox - a bit 'out there' and quite explicit but very funny when you're in the right mood.

Loving 'Mr Robot' - two episodes to go.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.
