Now this looks interesting. A direct spin off from the Dune movies and based on Frank Herbert's books for which I have them all. I also have all the movies and the not so good Dune TV mini series.

But this series looks to be quite good. 🤞

The new HBO Original Series Dune Prophecy premieres November 17 on Max

I just finished “For All Mankind”. First season, most excellent.

Alternative history, what’s the Soviets got to the moon first and the space race never finished.

I've finished "Agatha All Along" on Disney+
It's a Marvel show, but it feels more like an adult-themed Disney show.
I wasn't blown away by it and I wouldn't be sad if there wasn't another season.
I did stick with it though, as I ended up somewhat hooked.

Also watching season 2 of The Old Man on D+
It's a really good show with a few twists and turns in the storyline.
Ex-CIA man, now older, has a daughter in the FBI, who has her own story arc.
I am really enjoying this one.

Finished Bad Monkey - give that a 10/10. (Apple TV+)
Finished Lord of the Rings  - The Rings of Power 6/10 for season 2 (Prime)
Finished Only Murders In The Building - another 10/10 for me. Started slowly and built beautifully. (D+)

Currently bingeing The Lincoln Lawyer on Netflix.
Loving this show. Totall hooked.
Only criticism is that we have to have subtitles on as sometimes the main characters mumble just a tad too much.

Struggling with Obliterated on Netflix.
It's crass for the sake of it, whilst being semi-watchable at times.
It could be a lot better and the cast aren't too bad, but they're not A-List.

Heartstopper on Netflix. Based on the books by Alice Oseman.

The books and TV series are mainly LGBT+ related and centre around a small group of gay & straight teenage friends. Series one starts off with the two main characters Charlie, a high-strung, openly gay over thinker, and Nick, a cheerful, soft-hearted rugby player, one day are made to sit together in class. Their friendship becomes something more for Charlie, but he does not believe he has a chance.

The first two series deals with everyone's blossoming relationships especially that of Charlie and Nick. The ups and downs and pitfalls of first loves and true friendships.

For those in these forums who have teenagers or know off those that do and these teenagers have an Eating Disorder and/or OCD then series three is maybe for you.

I am a retired Paediatric nurse of 30 yrs experience. Though I was a General Paediatric Nurse, I however for a large portion of my nursing years nursed young people and teenagers with OCD and Eating Disorders. I can honestly say that Heartstopper Series 3 has dealt with this topic accurately. Just keep in mind that there are many forms of Eating Disorder and the series only deals with one type and they do so brilliantly.

Being a gay gentleman who has just hit 70 and in a wonderful 43 yr relationship, I highly recommend this show to family, friends and teenagers of all genders and identity persuasions. It is funny, sad, informative but most of all is accurate to its material.

A must watch.

Absolutely criminal that there are only six episodes per season. Perhaps more episodes would dilute the material but I refuse to believe they couldn't make ten hours of this per year and it not still be the best thing on television.

Watching currently...

Tulsa King Season 2 - Stallone playing gangsters, lots of fun.

The Ark Season 2 - Sci-fi from Dean Devlin, bit low-budget but I keep returning.

The Diplomat Season 2 - Political suspense show, also the best thing on television.

My Old Ass on Amazon Prime

Really interesting concept, some good writing and acting/chemistry.

Not sure I'll continue, but will see how Ep 2 goes.

Really enjoying Escape at Dannemora on Netflix. Now six years old but has some good people in it and an interesting storyline.

Have just finished season 2 of Lincoln Lawyer on Netflix. 9/10

Really looking forward to getting into season 3.

Have also started watching Squid Games - I gave up on it after one episode last time, so thought I'd give it another go. It's OK, but I am not as hooked as others seemed to be.

Just started Gangs of London on Neon.

It's typical HBO-style in that it's obviously got a decent budget, it's well acted, scripted and shot.

It's not for the faint of heart, but it's pretty good if you like gritty, violent English drama that doesn't hold back.

Watched part 1 last night and I couldn't belive that I was watching a TV show. The production value was off the scale.

Definitely a slow burn but I'm already hooked. 8/10 for this episode

Watching Cross on Prime. Quite heavy in some places. 7.5/10.

I'm also watching The Day of the Jackal on TVNZ+. 7/10.
