Me too. I'm sure it's true in many ways, but there is also research showing increased uptake of some carcinogens due to the improved delivery method and slightly different way users inhale. Then there is the subject of manufacturing and what actually goes in there etc.

Again, that's from the cheap, crappy, cartridge type that tobacco companies in the US are pushing.  Normally disposable.
Most vapers mix their own and use more custom equipment
This is my mixing cupboard.

Edit: I also believe they should be unable to be sold to those under 18.

I started smoking before any laws came in... worst thing I ever did, but vaping was the perfect "cure".

Nicotine still has harmful effects in the body besides the element of addiction.

There are rising concerns with the safety of vaping in the States as use has become more prevalent - toxic exposures to children and even users (generally in the case of users it is due to direct inoculation on the skin with the concentrated mix).

Expect legislation here in the medium-term future, both for the health effects and for the loss of tax revenue.

At the present time on the balance of probabilities I expect this may be safer than smoking cigarettes, however the reality is that this is really too new and not widespread enough for its safety profile to be entirely clear.

That seems to be the main one that I've seen. I wear latex gloves when mixing mine and, even with no children in the house, that mixing cupboard is the highest one in the kitchen.

That'll be their main worry ;p

I have spent thousands of dollars in trying to quit smoking and nothing even reduced the level until I started vaping. I'm an addict, I know it and have spent years fighting it. I don't care if the long-term effects of inhaling nicotine through vaping aren't clear yet - by vaping I am not inhaling the hundreds of toxic chemicals in ordinary, tailor-made cigarettes. Some of those toxins have yet to be identified.

I'm all for anything that stops people from starting to smoke tobacco. I strongly believe vaper should be readily available to people that are already smoking. It may not prove totally safe over time but its safer than tobacco. Banning something that may not be safe when the only alternative to it is something that is definitely unsafe seems ridiculous to me and a bit like playing Russian Roulette by saying, "take this gun that has one bullet in it or choose the one that has all but one chamber loaded".
