networkn: Last night I had a pulled marinated pork burger, with mint slaw, and I ordered beetroot, pickle and a grilled slice of fresh pineapple.

Right, You need to take me to where you eat. Starting tomorrow!

Burger Burger in Ponsonby. I'll meet you there for lunch! Bring JR

Saturday lunch at burger burger with JR, Me, Lon?

Yah, I could make that work.

Would anyone be keen to do this during the week?  I work around the corner from Ponsonby road.  Like a mini-Geekzone lunchtime meet up thingy (TM).

We are going on wednesday,
Lon, john, dylan, Network and me. I think a few others will come.

nate: Murder Burger was great until they shut down in Ponsonby.  They've moved out to Manukau, not sure if it's still the same though :/

The Flaming Onion is quite good, their burgers of the week are top notch

murder burger is definitely below average, there is a reason they went out of business.

This blog post (below) is a good list, I disagree with some of the rankings but they can be subjective and variable on the day.
http://auckland.concreteplayground.co.nz/news/59913/the-ten-best-burger-joints-in-auckland.htm

I've tried most of them over the last year or two and haven't had a bad burger at any.

Burger Fuel, Franchise various locations (see their website)
Burger Queen, 151 Mt Albert Rd

Food Truck Garage, Shed 1 90 Wellesley St West
Late Night Diner, 152b Ponsonby Road Ponsonby
Handmade Burgers, 455 New North Rd
The Flaming Onion, 1 Lydia Ave Northcote
Velvet Burger, 18 Fort St
