Hi,

I used to use Trademe Photoview Userscript for Greasemonkey in Firefox.

Unfortunately the Userscripts.org website where this was hosted has now disappeared.

Anyone know where to find this script now?

Cheers,

Felix

You could try this - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/make-it-look-better/?src=search
Haven't used it, but seems to be the same thing essentially

Hi Taneb1,

That's interesting I hadn't seen that one. I also found 'Trademe Photoview Redux' by JimbobBaggins in the Chrome store and that works too.

However, I was quite keen to get the text based userscript since this is better from the point of view of security. It it is easy to review the source to make sure nothing malicious is going on.

I wonder if there is another repository for it somewhere?

Thanks, Felix

Geektastic: What on earth is it and what does it do?!

If you use Trademe alot it is awesome. When viewing search results or browsing category’s. Instead of you having to click on almost every auction just to view the photo. It makes the photos appear in the list view. As if every single seller on trademe had paid for gallery listings.

Fantastic - thanks Taneb1

Didn't think to look on the old 8080 port!

For reference, the Redux version of the script still works well http://userscripts.org:8080/scripts/show/149392

Cheers - Felix

If you want to review the source, just crack open the .crx file with 7-Zip or whatever compression tool you have.  It's a standard .ZIP archive.

Given TradeMe make money from selling the ability to display your photo in the listings (aka Gallery listings), not only would they not release an app for it, I'm mildly surprised they don't go out of their way to try and prevent it.

PS: I use the Gallery+ plugin, works great.
