Does anyone know of a Chch retail outlet that sells them. I need one asap and can't wait the 4 to 5 days it will take if I order online.

Perhaps this helps:

People are talking about using white vinegar (dilute acetic acid).  Citric acid (available from the supermarket) solution is usually recommended rather than acetic, but there are proprietary descalers which may (or may not) contain other ingredients, which may (or may not) improve the result.  Sorry that's a bit vague.  Some supermarkets sell proprietary descaler liquid (St Marttins New World does).  C4 in Tuam St does - but I don't think they're open on weekends.

I didn't watch the video.  I presume that the nespresso uses a thermoblock rather than a boiler. I've used vinegar to descale thermoblocks - it seemed to work ok.  I suspect that the concern with acetic acid is that it may be aggressive on seals.
Chch tapwater isn't very hard - nor very soft, so scale formation rate is probably average.

I use CLR to clean espresso machines.  I says on the label not to, but it works fine.  If your supermarket doesn't have it, Mitre 10 or Bunnings will have it.

It's on the shelf at most of the big retailers who sell coffee machines.
