I have a nice photo that I want to put onto a canvas print. Saw Harvey Norman have 30% off canvas prints....

The salesguy then said the offer only applied to low quality canvas and that I should buy the qood quality canvas for significantly more money.  He actually said the 30% offer expired the day before but he would do me a favour and give me a good price on the poor quality canvas .  I was quite annoyed as I felt HN were being a bit deceptive so I walked out.

I thought I would checkout some other providers of canvas prints.

I found a couple....

But, it is hard to say if the canvas they use is good quality or not (now i am an expert thanks to HN).

Anyone have experience with canvas print providers?

One more thing -- HN online shows canvas sizes in inches , while instore they show A0/A1/A3 etc... Makes it confusing to compare pricing between online/instore.

The online HN store only shows pricing for one grade of canvas and does not say which grade that is being sold.

I have printed on harvey norman canvasses always when 40% off.
usually ok (looks 100$ perfect), but the calibration sometimes is off - once i printed 2 books (not canvas) and one had a green tinge.
hence i only do it at 40-50% off, and not to make money

I got a big panoramic shot done (1500 x 300) on canvas during one of Snapfish's many 70% off type deals. Cost $98 delivered, but I was quite disappointed the colour was washed out compared to any screen I viewed the actual photo on. Keep thinking I should just bump up the saturation and send it in again but I'm not keen on another $100 gamble...

I've used Warehouse Stationery's 'fotofinish' and was happy with how the canvases came out, but I'm no expert on canvas quality! They also do specials pretty regularly.

I had 3 canvases printed with Snapfirst as well as some photo blocks and general prints. Although the image printed on the canvases was slightly lighter than the original which is to be expected that it won't be identical I am happy with them

We have used Snapfish for books and also canvas...a couple of the images in the books came out darker than expected, but was well impressed with the canvas...for what we paid (something like $40-$50) I thought it was well worth it....much like shopping at Briscoes - you never buy anything unless it's on special :P this was 60% off

But yeah I am no expert - but very happy with them (for the money)

I got a A0 print from for $195 including delivery.  very happy with the quality.  i just sent them a picture, they printed it and stretched it.

i tried getting pictures printed overseas but for anything large but then needed someone to stretch it, and that cost nearly as much as getting it all done, so I wouldnt recommended doing that.
