Hi,

A friend of mine needs to get to the USA for water polo champs as she will be representing NZ.
She has a pledge going to help her get there. Highest pledging geekzoner will get a bottle of wine from me. (given there is a decent feedback from it)

Anything is appreciated.
Cheers

Contact your local Kiwanis club. This is what they do. Helping youth achieve great things.

Kiwanis is worldwide. Try their Takapuna club. They raise funds for children and youth and have been in NZ alone for decades. Motto is something like "Serving the children of the World". Next year Kiwanis International celebrate their 100th anniversary.

Excellent. Best of luck to her. Wife is involved in a local club. Have met some inspirational young people that have had a helping hand from the club.

The Lions are another service club that supports young people with talent to reach their goals.
If she doesn't end up being sponsored by the Kiwanis..

She could find her local club, here and contact them.
Get on the agenda to present her case at their next meeting, and see what they say.
