I've risen to the challenge.

Looking forward to attending a Geekzone IRL for the first time.

Chris1979: Any additional information about the event will be much appreciated...

I've been to a few of these now (can't make Christchurch as I'll be overseas on holiday), and they're pretty straight forward.

Turn up, have a few cold beers (or soft drinks if beer isn't your thing), eat some food and chit chat about all things IT and lots of other things.

Always a good evening, and nice to put faces to names.

johnr:
jevvv: Is anyone from Auckland going to the IRL?

If so then maybe check and see if PeterReader wants to go too

I am bringing him down from Auckland

Are you? Last I heard SBiddle had already picked him up

Maybe you can give him a lift back to Auckland, unless he's going to Welly with Mauricio afterwards.

<- don't ask me where I am - I haven't a clue: its a tech thing ;)
Housewife computerer: not particularly great at either.
And don't take me too seriously.
