Does this current scam operator use remote control to operate the machine or just direct to a website where credit card details are provided?

The one I had let into a VM asked me to go to a website that opened up a team viewer like server and I was requested to keep the ticks on for remote file access. There's plenty of videos on YouTube of what they do including one I did.

I didn't get to the credit card payment stage but presume they'd take cc details over the phone.

heylinb4nz: I love having fun with these scammers when they call. Last night didn't beat my previous record of 14 minutes but fun anyway.

- call came in
- said I had to go upstairs to my microsoft computer
- said I had to switch to cordless phone
- left phone in cupboard with vacuum cleaner running

Last I heard when checking phone was the indian lady yelling "WHAT IS THAT NOISE, WHAT IS THAT NOISE, HELLO !!"

Anyone else have fun with these people ???

Funny how the Apple Technical Department never needs to call....! ;-)
