This has been on the Norwestern quote a few times - picked it was a mannequin the first time I saw it, well, the second time, had to do the proverbial "double-take".

My thoughts are no longer my own and is probably representative of our media-controlled government

I'm usually good at picking out fakes.  But even now that I know it is fake, I've got half a mind that says it isn't.

Conspiracy time!

The media received canned intel to suggest it was a mannequin in order to stop people from pursuing their identity and ultimately avoiding litigation by the New Zealand Police.

I think I'm on to something...

Bung:
freitasm: So this "journalist" wrote a full page story based on a photo he found on Twitter, including comments by a Police spokesperson, and never realised the photo was a fake?

Tells a lot about the quality of journalism here.

As somebody else said the original photo doesn't look like an inflatable mannequin (an inflatable leg with a knee?!). Unless close observation showed it was obviously flapping about in the breeze I'd want to see a photo of the "reveal".

My only knowledge of inflatable life size dolls come from the movie "Lars and the Real Girl".

My only knowledge comes from watching buskers making balloon animals. Bianca isn't inflatable so the problem of bending a tube never occurs. I accept that jetski girl if she exists is probably  a rigid plastic rather than inflatable. Like DravidDavid I thought a mannequin story after the fact would be a good defence.

Good lord - I never realised that.  Lars can't have been on a tight budget then - UPS/DHL would have charged a fortune to ship her pre-assembled and ready to go.
But you're probably right - she doesn't have that pneumatic look to her really.

To save you being caught doing the research I can advise that Bianca has a PVC skeleton with steel joints all covered in silicone "body".
