So what's a GOOD usenet site?

I have Sick Beard with SABnzbd all set up but its useless without a decent Usenet server.

I agree that the NZB community seems very closed off (makes sense I suppose), its a nightmare to get in to a good server!!

geekiegeek: From torrentfreak -

"thepiratebay.ee, thepiratebay.cr, thepiratebay.mobi and others are mirrors not affiliated with the original site. They serve old content (no new uploads) and are not TPB resurrections. If the site reappears it will be on the original .se domain."

kickass apparently could provide tonight's entertainment adequately

one thing ild give to usenet, is it doesnt have the internal drama crap to deal with...

Things like this is faar less common, This year has been bad for it... Quite a mess of my normal system for content...

"After nearly two days of downtime EZTV is slowly starting to crawl back up. TF spoke to the EZTV crew who confirmed that several servers are up and running again and that the site’s services are coming back online."

I'm kind of amazed this thread has not been banned yet. On topic though, surprised isohunt put up the full TPB site again, way to put a target on your back.

I am also surprised but glad that it hasn't been banned or removed. This subject needs to be discussed. The important thing for me that is slowly evolving is the supply of content at a reasonable price. Thus so called illegal downloads are unnecessary. Countries the size of NZ couldn't afford , int he past to buy them on release so they had to wait until they were discounted to show them upto a year late. The distribution houses now understand they dont have that leverage. So the pricing and availability is affordable to smaller countries. As i said before once we solve the sped of data transfer everything will change and true globaility of content  ( I just made that up!) will take place.

Um - Speed of data transfer is solved. We have great speeds here. So many people get hung up on the fact that we don't have gig fibre to every house and farm that they lose sight of the fact that NZ has a genuinely really good broadband network NOW - let alone what we'll have as UFB continues to roll out.

Cheers - N
