BigRat: Since the ignorant couple have not apologised to Joe yet and after the damage they have done to us since arriving to NZ, I do not think they are welcomed here anymore.

What damage and who is this "us"?

Respecting the Kiwis in public, trying not to get infuriated to our Kiwi audiences and also, to a Kiwi contestant while on-air.........

DarthKermit: How is trivial garbage like this even news?

Because it's about "celebrities" and cheaper and easier than real news. smile

Not to mention, the whole internet has been talking about it all day. Even I wanted to get involved in a social site, which I rarely do, with this as a hot headline.

You know, it really frightens me what you think the "whole Internet" is.

Yeah, look at other entertainment news sites worldwide, they have been debating on the abuse made by the judges.

Here's one.

But the news hasn't spread out yet, FWIW. If you ask me which sites I ever went to, would you like my response? Don't think so over here...

Glassboy: What is X-Factor?

A hashtag I muted on twitter...
other than that I have no idea. Reality TV sux. (Unless it's Top Gear, Grand Designs or Selling Houses Australia).

Well I'm somewhat fond of Antiques Roadshow, Bizarre Foods and American Pickers if we're in the shows with real people that aren't "reality tv" vein.

You know I want to reply, but this totally feels like one of the conversations I have with my sixteen year old niece.

Top Gear was good but I have given up on it due to xenophobia and racism and other prejudices

Top gear used to be good when they mainly used to review cars. But these fictional competitions they run have just got silly, and they now tend to take up the whole show.

Come on. That's really harsh.
Small Spaces is quite good too.

Aren't reality shows about bullying and humiliating people?

I thought that was how they got ratings?

Surely, the Cleopatra wannabe and the slick hair guy in a suit were doing their jobs?

Also, they are cheap to produce. Therefore, attractive from a cost point of view.

Apparently, TV3 are attempting to dig their way out of financial problems using this strategy.

I really hope they don't succeed with this BS. Try something else!

Footnote: Benji Marshall - "In the NRL we don't condone bullying in any form anywhere. What I saw on the X Factor NZ last night by Natalia Kills and Willy Moon, who are supposed to be so-called judges, mentors and role models was one of the worst forms of bullying and totally unacceptable! As a proud Kiwi I am embarrassed by this," he said.

Seems funny to me.
