A sign that says "Beware! Dogs running loose on premises" will probably keep most people in NZ away as never have I encountered such a widespread fear of dogs as I have here.

There is only one thing more frightening than a dogs bark and that's the sound of an owner who can't control it, something my father used to " play on" when it suited him

Nope. I assume people who own dogs know how to train them -  but then I assume the same thing about people with children..!

I'm not too sure why where you live should have any bearing on your ability to train dogs properly. Why should New Zealanders be inept dog owners?

It's the quiet ones that you have to worry about.

I've seen dogs trained for military use that would stalk intruders silently!
