Have been thinking I really need to implement a strategy for securely storing all my online usernames and passwords in the event something happens to me, that my better half can get someone to help her log into those accounts and take them over.

I'm keen to here what others have done on here.  Also, if you've got 2 factor authentication turned on, how you cater for this (assuming that if something did happen to me, my phone gets destroyed in the process).

To be fair I haven't implemented it yet, but my plan is this:

Currently have everything pretty much of any importance stored in Lastpass, with 2fa.
Plan is to add Grid Authentication as a 2fa option, and give half of my lastpass keyphrase and half the 2fa grid to each of the executors of my will.

Information wants to be free. The Net interprets censorship as damage and routes around it.

This is really interesting - I'll be keeping an eye on this thread. I was talking to my flat mate about this the other day, around how a hand-over type scenario would occur etc.

Very interested to see how others are handling it as well- I haven't yet put anything in place, simply because it's not a priority at this stage, but it's probably something I should think about sometime.

I use SafeInCloud as a password manager which my wife also has the password to.

Have also set up the Google 'Inactive Account' protection which lets my wife in after 3 months of no access.

I've been thinking this and LastPass support sharing with another LastPass user. I haven't implemented this yet.

Or KeePass.
