I'm afraid our household boycots tv3 for the same reason we don't read whaleoil, so tv1 news gets a look in . however if have to say twitter is what delivers the news to me mostly

Used to watch 3 regularly, but since we've had kids, we've tended to switch to One, as the video imagery tends to be less graphic (I'm thinking of war footage etc).

Much prefer the general style of the 3 News bulletins and the news anchors are far better, but don't want my kids eating dinner and seeing beheaded victims of extremists in some foreign territory or other.

Presso: TV1 or TV3 news which do you prefer , Myself I watch TV1 news as that is what I was bought up watching (Shut up boy the news is on) and is what I align with really.

Do I prefer TV1 news because of my age, I don't know I just don't really like the TV3 format.

What do you prefer or do you catch the early 5.30 news, perhaps you don't watch it at all or just browse it on your tablet.

I'm still sh*tty with TV3 over canning Campbell Live. So I watch One News. But TVNZ are so scared of the government they tend to avoid anything controversial or critical of National and instead we get puppies and kittens and "human interest" stories about battlers, losers and odd-balls.

I rely on Twitter and Radio NZ for most of the news that matters.

It's amazing watching news fly by on Twitter and then watch it be roundly ignored on One News in favour of a puppies or some tweenie with a boy crush on a rugby player.

Sadly, they both to.

Straight after the live crossover to breathlessly report that a three-legged cat in Tauranga has the same colour fur as Kim Kardashian's ex-boyfriend's mother's sister's hair. OMG..... Celebrity (almost)!
