So I'm looking at installing in wall speakers in an older house and the wall they are going into has a stud thats in the way of where the centre needs to go. Can I move this?

How wide is the speaker?

Install a stud both sides of the one you remove. To maintain the max 600mm spacing.

Thats what I'm thinking, speakers are just under 400mm. Have got my builder mate on the job now to come up with a solution :-)

If it's an older house, it could have 400 mm stud spacing.

TA: you need to determine if the wall is a load bearing wall. Also, is it an external wall?
