I'm not sure if the military technology we (GER) are giving and have given to Ukraine is just dragging the whole thing out or if they can use it to keep the Russians at bay until a peace treaty is reached. I hope for the latter.

What is annoying me today?

The obvious incompetence and bias (and probable corruption) in the NZ vs CRC Fifa World Cup Qualifier this morning.

So gutted for the NZ team - outplayed the Costa Ricans and had a legitimate penalty call waved away, a legitimate goal chalked off and a player sent off in the dying minutes, while the Costa Ricans were able to pull shirts, hack down players, play-act, wrestle and basically do whatever they wanted without any sanctions.

Corruption at its finest.

Parcels. Again. I know.

Two parcels from different places in Merica cleared customs within 10 minutes of each other in NZ (apparently) on 3rd June, since when, crickets.

It's almost like they do stuff extra slow to show what you get when you pick the cheapest postage...

NZ Post is telling me "product not tracked" when I enter my tracking number. My... untracked tracking number?

The same number shows tracking when I enter it on the sending country's postal service site.

It could be that it hasn't entered their system yet, or isn't visible on their web site, it tends to be a bit lethargic.

That almost nothing arrives by "Overnight" Courier from Auckland to Christchurch these days!

NZPost / CourierPost average 5 days!

I still think the "Overnight" and "Saturday Delivery" add-ons are a scam. Try sending anything on Friday with overnight and Saturday delivery paid and see if you receive it before Monday - if not Tuesday.

Countries with national religious holidays where the entire country is closed and you can't get a Covid test for travel anywhere. It is literally impossible to get a pre-departure Covid test within 24 hours of flying because nowhere that can give you the test is open.

The workaround, hopefully, is to get a really expensive PCR test which gives you 48 hours rather than 24 and hope they can send you the results before they shut down for the duration.

You mean like NZ at Easter and Christmas?

At Easter and Christmas there's still lots of places open in NZ, including plenty of chemists.

I doubt that you could get a COV test done anywhere in NZ on Easter Sunday or Christmas Day.

I had that with my everdrives from Ukraine, but the tracking finally popped up on NZ post when they were delivered to the PO Box
