Timing the reminder to my boss that I'm going on holiday. Early enough so I'm being responsible but not giving him enough time to load me up further with "before you go on leave can you just..." tasks.

Edit: However I am annoyed I posted this in the wrong thread

My computer at work has seperate keys for delete and backspace but I have never really understood the difference between them.

Backspace moves the carriage one character position to the left while delete, character code 0x7F or seven ones, punches the paper tape at all seven holes, deleting whatever was there before. You're welcome.

Road Signs for NO reason.

We have had no sign of water in our Street for 3 days, yet the warning signs are still there! (They were only put up a day after the Street had water right across it!)

No wonder motorists ignore them! (Road Works signs when there is no sign of them included!)

They probably don't have enough storage so signs and cones stay out until needed elsewhere 😀

Road Signs for NO reason.

There seems to have been a spate of these. On a trip to Auckland recently, there were numerous passing lanes on SH1 where the entire lane was coned off for no apparent reason. Certainly no roadworks were in progress.

Also, "road works" where there's nothing being done, and the work is not actually affecting the road (e.g. drainage work). Cones are put out, and a lower speed limit set, for something that does not make the road any less safe than it normally is.

Yesterday there were a couple of people working behind bollards, where cars can't go. Despite that, there were cones for 50 metres on each side.

No, you will not see halogens in a modern kitchen setup, you will see that in a 90s - 2000s setup.

I'm not rich enough to be able to afford to run halogen lights.

I hate that too. Should be a preference that can disabled.
