At Riccarton Clinic you would pay for two appointment slots (Whether it takes that long or not if it wasn't disclosed when the appointment was made!).

It’s really a meet and greet with my new GP in Oxford so I’m sure I’ll get away with it!

On the vaguely plus side I have a GP appointment on Tuesday that has nothing to do with back pain - but it will now.

A burst throat sounds a lot worse than a backache (although I sympathise with you, backache can be pretty terrible)!

Be thankful you can so easily get a GP appointment, I was in the UK in August/September and everyone we spoke to complained about how it was impossible to get a GP appointment. One friend had been trying for weeks! And it wasn't like "we can see you in two weeks time", it was call first thing in the morning, wait in a queue for ages and then get told that all the appointments had been filled and to try again tomorrow. Here's just one news story about the GP crisis.

Wasps. There must be a nest or two in neighbouring properties. Unsure how to get them dealt with.

Vespex

Anyone can sit the exam and purchase it in NZ. It's amazing stuff and works incredibly well. If they are at your house, even if the nests aren't, Vespex will knock them off.

Wait until early evening, when the wasps are at their most docile, then burn the neighbourhood down, being careful to keep your home damp, so as not to get caught up in the ensuing conflagration.

Please be considerate of others and don't do this around Guy Fawkes. This helps ensure the fire is correctly classified as a necessary act, ridding the world of pure evil, not the careless or malicious use of explosives.

EDIT: It'd be one hell of a bonfire though!

I'm sure that would ANNOY the neighbours!

I was going to say the exact opposite, wait for Guy Fawkes, then blame it on those damn kids-who-are-always-on-my-lawn's fireworks.

While we are on the subject of burning down neighbourhoods...

Can someone more learned than I give me a really good reason for wasps?

They just seem to be so unlike their similar but way less hateful cousins, the bee. Bees are pollinators. They happily buzz around, pollinating and (if Bee Movie has taught me anything), playing tennis, opening law practices and setting up massive honey conglomerates.

Wasps on the other hand seem to be nothing but spiteful little murder-flies. What's their deal?

Forgetting to knock out the puck of the last cup of espresso for the day.

It’s incredibly annoying the next morning having to pull out the shower screen and clean everything when I just want my first cup of coffee for the day.

The number of TM listings that list a shipping of "To be arranged" (Pick-up available from Flag Swamp, Otago). How hard is it to say "this will fit in a $5.40 bag, so shipping is $5.40", or have TM calculate it for you? All these TBAs mean you have to ask a question on each sale inquiring whether (a) they're actually prepared to ship it or not and (b) how much shipping will be and could they add that to the auction so it's possible to pay that amount when it closes.

There are quite a few species of birds worldwide that eat wasps. Introduce one.

The same as the one for any terminal disease - what is the logical point of something that exists only to kill its host?
