That all the arrogant parents are back ignoring the No Stopping restrictions in the Street for another year!

while they shouldn't be doing that it appears to be affecting your mental health so maybe its time to move somewhere else that's a little less frustrating for you?
i doubt anything will ever change there.

And then they will probably build a new School next door just to annoy me!
The School used to be less than half the current size when we moved in, and around 8 buses. Now over 1500 students and NO buses!
Mainly mum or dad in an SUV (7 out of 10 past here) doing the School run now!
They don't even let you in or out of your own driveway! (At least the buses used to make a gap for you!)

While I'm sure it was well intended, it comes across as victim blaming.
"People are annoying you by performing illegal activities around you, therefore *you* should be the one to have to change your life around to accommodate them."
RIght up there with the cop who tried to tell me to move after I laid a complaint about being harassed by the local dropkicks (because I'd reported one of them for doing repeated burnouts on the street). No thanks. I own my house as do most of the others round here and none of us are in any position to just pick up and move because some self entitled pricks decided to kick off around us and didn't like the consequences of their actions.
By all means look after your mental health in the face of such things by finding ways to manage your reactions to it but "you should move" is unlikely to be the easiest answer for most people to actually achieve.
As I've been told on more than a few occasions, you mostly cannot control the actions of others, but you can manage how you react and respond to them.
Maybe start up a lemonade stand and sell them all drinks each morning and afternoon? ;-)

It requires systemic changes in both provision of transport and, more importantly, re-educating parents that it's perfectly appropriate to have your kids walk to the school that's two blocks away. There's a primary school near where Mother Neb lives for which pretty much the entire student population is within walking distance. They enforce a no-stopping zone near the school but all that means is that every weekday every surrounding street is gridlocked with Remuera tractors sitting there with the engines idling and mommies on cellphones sitting inside with the windows up and A/C on (seriously!). I couldn't believe it the first time I saw it, it was like something out of an Idiocracy-style dystopia.
Unless that problem is addressed, it's never going to get any better. You could attack the problem of gridlocked streets, pollution, and childhood obesity all in one go.
The world is getting more and more like:
The easy way to stop the ram raids!
Leave the doors open!
Think positive: At least you don't have to repair the building!

100% agreement. Here, however, it is premium SUVs that we call „Mutti-Panzer“ (mummy tanks).

Technofreak:Obviously no enforcement action takes place. Seems about time the authorities put some rubber on the road so to speak and stepped up and show that the "No Stopping " signs actually do mean no stopping.
Exactly! Residents AND the School regularly ask the CCC for enforcement! But guess what? They make more money, oops, I mean, a higher priority is the Bus lanes! Which means (And the parents know) that if the Wardens are here today, it is unlikely they will be back again this year! (So many Schools complaining to get around to enforcement!)

Technofreak: Perhaps a tongue in cheek approach. Take the sign down and take it to the CCC and say you want a new one because this one doesn't work.
They took the signs down during Level4 Lockdown! (CCC Contractor) - School complained, same CCC Contractor put them back! Not in the same places they took them down from! Even the wardens have complained that there is a section of the Street that they can't enforce! Nothing done about it by the CCC in year/s! So nope - removing them doesn't work either!
More money to be made elsewhere! (From actual enforcement!)
If they're not responding to polite requests for enforcement action then it's time to send them a LGOIMA request for some statistics - e.g. how many infringements have you issued each month in a given area over a given period of time. If the statistics are as damning as I suspect they'll be then take them to the media or one of your local councillors.
I am going to have to do the same thing with the Wellington City Council who simply refuse to do any enforcement of the footpath parking rules that they tightened up on a year ago.
Idiots.
Idiots annoy me.
And Distaster Tourists. I've never seen so many people in Sunnynook, wandering or driving along taking video and photos for the social media lols.
I felt like taking my spade up to the main road and just braining a few people.

I just think the breezy commercials are a little one-sided and gloss over the very real issues many older people have to contend with.
Obviously, the ads are aimed at persuading people to move into retirement homes/villages earlier. I think that they are also aimed at the *children* of retirees as much as retirees themselves, so the children don't feel guilty about parking Mum & Dad in a retirement home.
From the home's point of view, younger, fitter residents are very desirable, because
But, realistically, why would you go into one of those homes, at > $1,000 per week per person, if you were fit and healthy and able to do all the things that the ads depict?
From the government's point of view, it's also *much* cheaper to assist people to stay in their own homes by (e.g.) paying someone to mow the lawns or do the washing than to pay for them in a home.
