People who pluralise our PM's name; for some reason, a lot of anti-JK people do this.  Do they think it's funny (if so, why?), or are they just so ignorant that they genuinely haven't noticed how a three-letter surname is spelt?

I've just seen this in the first post of a new thread on GZ.  FFS, it's K-E-Y, it's not difficult

Its laziness and/or lack of education. Its slack. I'm fine when its spellcheck, but the lack of grammar is shocking.

When I login to GZ, and write a long reply to some post, only to discover when I submit that GZ has logged me off and all that thinking is lost for ever.

B-grade TV documentaries that insist on giving you a two-minute re-cap on their contents every ten minutes. Sometimes it's after where they think the TV station will insert an ad break - and that's vaguely insulting to their audience - it's as if they think the audience can't retain a train of thought for a minute or two.

Sometimes there's no ad break, just the recap - and that's even more insulting. Really dislike this style of doco-making.

According to recent research, they should be doing it much more frequently - apparently we're now down to an 8 second attention span.

What was I talking about again?

They do that as it means they get more viewers midway thru the show, whereas if people start it half way thru then they might not have a clue.

Just an artifact of legacy linear broadcasting where people jump around between prescheduled streams that will hopefully go away with everything going to SVOD.

I have no idea why they dont at least do a seperate edit tho, possibly because it would be so much shorter. The thing is the padding out to 43 mins for things that could be shorter is part of the reason I gave up on the last serieses of mythbusters. Just. So. Frustrating.

Right now we are discussing the habit of putting a recap in the middle of a show to remind people what they have just seen.

Annoying right?

I missed almost 99% of that thread and jumped at the #131 post, could someone give me a brief re-cap of what were the top 25 most hillarious small things people were annoyed by, please?

I visit this thread only occasionly, chances are - when I hop in again - the "re-cap" will not be seen.

Could someone "re-cap" regularly - so whoever visits this thread they are briefed on the last page, please? :-) :-) :-)

That Gary Mccormick thinks he can just walk into a Koru lounge without membership have drink and then complain when he is caught and banned from using the airline for 2 years. I think good on AirNZ for someone who thinks they are entitled to whatever they want.

Waiting for a parcel that should have been a 2-3 day service, courier tried to deliver ~7 hours after pick up & no-one was home.

I doubt he received a 2 year ban for being caught in a Koru Club.  The article suggested that there'd been a (presumably subsequent) "disagreement" with ground staff which "turned sour".  I guess we can imagine what that means -and I'd be surprised if Air NZ didn't have a security camera recording the scene - something that McCormick should consider if he's going to keep whining.

Yes, agreed. I think it stems from when they shift documentaries made for the septics.

They have ads every three seconds as opposed to our leisurely six seconds...!

Before you hit the "Post" button (if using PC): Select all, then CTRL+C puts "all that thinking" in a buffer and can be saved (pasted into) TXT, DOC or back into GZ again (after re-logging).

Courier companies whose use of modern technology seems limited to a pencil, pad and abacus.

If I lose things in transit in the USA, they will instantly be able to tell me which van, aircraft or building it is in and which bin inside the building it is in.

If I lose track of things in transit in NZ, I get "Yeah, nah, I'll raise a query and we will get back to you..." followed often by a 24 hour wait, a display of general incompetence "Not sure where it is, waiting for a call, maybe tomorrow maybe never etc".

Never any sense of ownership, responsibility, service delivery, pride in their work etc etc etc.
