When you like your coffee with one sugar, the barista duly complies with your request and adds it to the espresso but then doesn't bother to stir it through when they're making my take-away flat white.

I always elicit a laugh from the barista when offered sugar and proclaim that good coffee doesn’t need sugar. Each to their own of course.

The ignorant git behind the wheel of a horse float/truck yesterday, who (despite the lovely stencilled sign on the rear, stating "Be patient, Horses onboard, I'll pull over when it's safe to do so") held up traffic for around 15 min on a stretch of highway that had very few opportunities to legally and safely pass unless they pulled over into one of the many, many laybys that were available. They did not at any stage attempt to pull over.

Approximately 60km/h in a 100km/h zone was the go. Very frustrating for all concerned.

Good thing I'm an atheist and I can continue to enjoy what I do without any fear😉.

I don't think Yog-Sugaroth cares whether you're an atheist or not.

I hate that and it gives all folks that  tow stuff a bad name. Whenever we were pulling our boat or caravan we would always pull over at the first opportunity to do so safely. If we entered an area with passing lane we would slow right down and allow as may to pass as we could. It wasn't hard and did not add that much time to our journey.

Yeah it doesn't take much to check the mirrors.
One look and this idiot would have known how much traffic was building up.

Eva888:

Speaking of sugar, we have a covered sugar bowl with a lid that has an inset to put the spoon in. It holds about 2/3 of a cup. It sits on the bench. We hardly ever use sugar from it except for the odd guest. For months now I’ve noticed the sugar going down a lot. Started to think maybe it somehow evaporates away so I put an extra silicone cover over it loosely. The other day, looked in to get some sugar again there was only about two tbs left. Today, there was a teaspoon of sugar plus one ant.

Do you have kids in the house? Maybe they're sneaking in at night, siphoning off the sugar, and tossing in a throwdown ant to divert suspicion.

Also, about your car keys that keep going missing...

Instructions from One NZ referring to one’s modem.

1995 called and they want your hardware back.

I would assume they still have some straggler customers on DSL because of recent posts here where people have been wanting to raise faults on obsolete products when they have a current product at the gate.

Nah, screenshots of connecting a router labelled as modem to the ONT.

When i get a call from someone referring to their modem my geek brain runs off playing chess with the statement and considers all options - of course they mean router but there’s always that what if… I hate assuming.

Its on life support I think. But I like to indulge when I feel like idly watching something but don't particularly care if I fall asleep in the middle of it...

There are plenty of idle time videos on youtube which are better to pass the time. There are ones of trains driving around the place or else ones of people cleaning up dirty pools or messy yards.
